Life during the pandemic was lonely. Between social distancing, fragmenting social platforms, and diverging perspectives within families and neighborhoods, loneliness has become an epidemic in America. In October 2023, we attended GrowSmart Maine’s Annual Summit on Connecting Places for Connecting People. We’re taking what we learned and doing our part to address loneliness in Ellsworth by focusing our efforts on creating in-person events for all ages and projects that engage our community and visitors alike.
