2023 Downeast Cider + Cheese Festival Ticketed Tasting + Market

In-person tastings are back in 2023 at the Downeast Cider + Cheese Festival in downtown Ellsworth, Maine!

Tastings will be held at Desert Harvest, 192 Main Street in Ellsworth, Maine. Two separate sittings will be offered on Saturday, November 11th, one at 5:00 PM EST and the second at 7:00 PM EST. Each tasting will last approximately an hour and a half.

About the Tasting

Join Heart of Ellsworth for a sit-down guided tastings of hard ciders and cheeses.

Pairings of hard ciders and cheeses will be sourced from Maine purveyors, with cideries and cheesemakers (listed below) present to share their process. We will create a sensory experience for heritage food enthusiasts. Participants will have the chance to purchase from local purveyors in the festival market following the event.

The Downeast Cider + Cheese Festival celebrates a revival of two traditional foods: hard cider and cheese and honors the rich tradition of Maine’s historic apple industry. It’s the first and only event of its kind in the state.
