ART OF ELLSWORTH:MAINE CRAFT WEEKEND is part of the statewide Maine Craft Weekend tour. Explore our historic downtown and experience its creative energy through live music, theater, craft demos, workshops, and so much more!

Held each fall during the first weekend of October, Art of Ellsworth invites residents, visitors, artists, and local businesses to come together around craft, culture, and community. Curated by Heart of Ellsworth, the weekend highlights local and regional creativity while encouraging people to move through downtown and experience Ellsworth as a creative, walkable destination.

Now entering its ninth year, Art of Ellsworth continues to grow as a celebration of the people, places, and creative work shaping Downeast Maine.

This year’s weekend is being developed with a special focus on sculpture, stone as a craft medium, and the creative process behind public art, while continuing to include the open studios, workshops, exhibitions, performances, demonstrations, and community events that make Art of Ellsworth a full downtown experience.

What to Expect During Art of Ellsworth

Each year’s schedule is created a little differently, but the weekend stays rooted in craft, community, and downtown discovery.
