Meet the Committee: Promotions
This March, we are dedicating each week to meeting one of our four committees. Based on Main Street America’s Four Point Approach, the four committees work together to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort.
Last but not least, we’re spotlighting the Promotions Committee, the group cultivating energy, visibility, and connection to downtown Ellsworth.

Bringing downtown to life
The Promotions Committee focuses on marketing and activation. They are the storytellers, planners, and connectors who help shape how people experience downtown.
Through events, campaigns, and partnerships, this group works to draw people into the district and give them reasons to return. Whether it is a community event, a seasonal initiative, or a coordinated marketing effort, Promotions plays a key role in building vibrancy and momentum downtown.
More than just events
While events are a big part of the work, Promotions goes beyond that. This committee helps develop marketing strategies, strengthen relationships with businesses and partners, and create tools that make it easier to navigate and engage with downtown.
From campaigns and tourism efforts to community calendars and collaborative promotions, they are constantly thinking about how to connect people to place in meaningful ways.
Who should join
If you are someone who loves marketing, event planning, storytelling, or bringing people together, this is a natural fit.
Promotions is fast paced, creative, and community focused. It is a great place to turn ideas into experiences and help shape the energy of downtown Ellsworth.
