Heart of Ellsworth is excited to celebrate Maine Seaweed Week, April 24 through May 3, 2026, with local energy in downtown Ellsworth. This annual statewide festival, presented by Heritage Seaweed, Maine Sea Grant, and Maine Seaweed Council, celebrates Maine’s seaweed harvest and its connection to our coastal communities.

Locally, Seaweed Week is sponsored by Maine Coast Sea Vegetables and Frenchman Bay Conservancy. More details on downtown happenings will be shared soon.
