As part of Art of Ellsworth: Maine Craft Weekend, we’re throwing open the doors at 16 State Street for a fun, all-ages evening of art, making, and exploring. There will be something happening around every corner - artists working in their studios, live demonstrations in needle felting, printing, painting, clay, art for sale, and a chance to try your hand at printmaking.
Meet the artists who call the Makerspace home, see what they’re working on, and discover how they make it. Check out the new clay studio, see where our growing ceramics program happens, and learn about opportunities to get your own hands in clay. Downstairs, explore Process to Public Sculpture, our upcoming exhibition celebrating sculpture from the first spark of an idea through the creative process and into our public spaces.
Bring the family, bring a friend, or just wander in. Watch. Make. Explore. Meet an artist. Find something you love. Free and open to all ages! Thursday Oct. 1 from 5 to 8PM
