Singer/songwriter Noel Paul Stookey has been altering both the musical and ethical landscape of this country and the world for decades—both as the “Paul” of the legendary Peter, Paul and Mary and as an independent musician who passionately believes in bringing the spiritual into the practice of daily life. Funny, irreverently reverent, thoughtful, compassionate—passionate—Stookey’s vocal sound is known all across this land: from the “Wedding Song” to “In These Times.”

A full sensory experience! Wendilee Heath O'Brien of WHO Paints will be at SevenArts playing okoto, a 12-stringed, 6 ft Japanese harp, and teaching a traditional Japanese song (11:30). Supplies will be out and available for folks to try their hand at Shodo, Japanese calligraphy in sumi ink and brush. Wendilee is mostly self-taught visual storyteller with a background in Japanese gold leaf, sumi ink, pastel and watercolors; based in Winter Harbor.

Hattie Clingerman will be set up with her spinning wheel, spinning away her home-grown fibers into beautiful multi-textured yarns. It's a little bit of fiber magic right in our gallery. Hattie's hand-spun yarns and curious felted silk scarves will be on display and available for purchase.

Kim Walker of Heirloom Tile specializes in custom Bas relief tiles reminiscent of Maine. Kim will be demonstrating carving and under-glazing. Her custom tile work is installed in both public spaces and home installations up and down the coast of Maine.

Deirdre & Aaron will be carving green wood with hand tools in their signature delicate-yet-rustic wabi-sabi style. Spoons, ladles, vessels and more will be on display for sale.

Winner of the prestigious 2018 Halstead Grant for new Jewelry business will be available to show and discuss her innovative methods for her jewelry which features clean, modern and minimal designs made from Sterling Silver and Argentium Silver with a matte finish. Ongoing 10-4 Saturday and Sunday.

Obadiah Buell, master stone carver, will be demonstrating stone carving techniques at Fogtown Brewing Company from 12 to 5pm. Obadiah will bring along tools for folks to try their hand at small scale stone carving, as well as demonstrate larger carving techniques.

Mt. Desert Island potter Kreg McCune will be offering pottery wheel demonstrations for the public. Kreg will provide opportunities for visitors to experience and create on the potter’s wheel and learn more about the process of creating fine ceramics from start to finish. Kreg McCune Pottery will have work available for purchase and over the course of the weekend will be creating a set of hand thrown mugs for Fogtown Brewery!
