Okoto (Japanese Harp) + Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) with Wendilee Heath O'Brien @ SevenArts
A full sensory experience! Wendilee Heath O'Brien of WHO Paints will be at SevenArts playing okoto, a 12-stringed, 6 ft Japanese harp, and teaching a traditional Japanese song (11:30). Supplies will be out and available for folks to try their hand at Shodo, Japanese calligraphy in sumi ink and brush. Wendilee is mostly self-taught visual storyteller with a background in Japanese gold leaf, sumi ink, pastel and watercolors; based in Winter Harbor.
Spinning Wheel Demonstration with Hattie Clingerman @ SevenArts
Hattie Clingerman will be set up with her spinning wheel, spinning away her home-grown fibers into beautiful multi-textured yarns. It's a little bit of fiber magic right in our gallery. Hattie's hand-spun yarns and curious felted silk scarves will be on display and available for purchase.

Kreg McCune Pottery will have work available for purchase and over the course of the weekend will be creating a set of hand thrown mugs for Fogtown Brewery!
