Stop by the Hands-On Stone Tent to try a selection of sculpting tools on several different kinds of stone. Sculptors from the Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium (SISS) will guide visitors, explain how each type of stone responds differently and introduce the techniques used to work with it. The tent will be especially welcoming to children, with additional hands-on opportunities for older visitors depending on the stone, tools and activities available that day.
Visitors can drop in at any point and participate at their own pace. Saturday, October 3: 1–4 p.m. Free and open to the public.
